This Mississippi pot roast meatballs recipe by Anne’s Family Recipe on YouTube makes about 15 large or 50 mini meatballs. The sauce for these meatballs looks so tender and flavorful. Also, you can use any other ground meat choices such as ground turkey for a healthier option. I love how the sauce keeps the meatballs packed, and it will be a great option to serve your guests during the holidays.

  • 2.5 lbs. ground beef
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup Italian seasoned bread crumbs
  • 1/2 packet ranch seasoning mix (OR 1/4 tsp. garlic powder, 1/4 tsp. onion powder, 1/4 tsp. dried dill, 1/4 tsp. dried parsley)
  • salt & pepper
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 cup water
  • 1 packet ranch seasoning mix (OR ½ tsp. garlic powder, ½ tsp. onion powder, ½ tsp. dried dill, ½ tsp. dried parsley)
  • 1 packet brown gravy mix
  • 1 stick unsalted butter
  • 8-10 pepperoncini peppers
  • 1/4 cup pepperoncini pepper juice

First, in a large mixing bowl add the ground beef, eggs, bread crumbs, ranch seasoning, and a pinch of salt and pepper. Mix everything by hand until well incorporated. Roll into large or bite-sized meatballs. Place the meatballs on a plate of a lined baking sheet. Continue to watch Anne’s Family Recipe tutorial on YouTube for full instructions and details.

Next, once the Mississippi pot roast sauce is made, place the meatballs back into the sauce, cover, and simmer on LOW for about 10-15 minutes or until cooked through. Serve the meatballs and sauce over mashed potatoes or serve the bite-sized meatballs as an appetizer with toothpicks.

Overall, I love meatballs, so this recipe is easy to make in one pan. The meatball looks so juicy, and the pepperoncini give it a nice tangy flavor with all of the savoriness. This would be great to add to pasta dishes such as spaghetti. I’m not a big meat person, but I love mini meatballs that are small cocktail sizes because they’re easy to eat.
