Most of us own a Mexican top and I don’t know about you, but I never wore mine any more, so after seeing what the gal in the attached tutorial did with hers, I just had to do the same!

Depending on how many of these dresses you have, this would be a cool Christmas present for someone in your family. I’m sure you can find some of these tops at Good Will or a thrift store if you don’t have one.

Several months ago, I found this beautiful Mexican dress at a thrift store. I was so excited and started to examine it, then I found some ripped seams and stains that may not come off. Here was the moment of truth… Should I buy it or not… the embroidery was too beautiful to pass up, so I decided to get it because I remembered seeing the coolest purses made out of Mexican Dresses on Pinterest.

These are great looking bags that resemble a Bohemian look, especially if you make it hobo style and attach bright colored pom poms to the side of the strap. Take a look at some of the things people have done with these dresses on Pinterest!

Since I lover experiments, I’ve alwaysnloved to create, paint, as well as cook and style food. I feel in love with DIY as soon as I discovered it and could not have been more excited when I learned I could share projects with people around the world. Taking photos is a passion of mine, as is design and painting with oils. I love holidays and celebrations, crafting cute little gifts and serving up at least one new recipe I am excited about.
