This salad recipe is very simple and quick to prepare. The technique to maintain the crispiness of the vegetables is to thinly slice all the vegetables and drizzle the dressing to the sides of the bowl, instead of pouring it directly over the salad. It is absolutely delicious – I am sure it will be your favorite!

Salad dressing:
Salad vegetables:
Make the salad dressing. In a medium bowl, add the mayonnaise, buttermilk, apple cider vinegar, sugar, salt and pepper. Whisk until well combined. Place it in the refrigerator for later.
Prepare the vegetables. In a large bowl, add all the sliced vegetables and celery seeds, then season with salt and pepper.
Get the salad dressing from the refrigerator, then using a spoon, pour some of the dressing on the sides of the bowl, not directly over the vegetables. Using tongs or forks, toss everything to coat. If you need more dressing, add more to the sides, and toss again. Make a taste test and adjust seasonings if needed.
Garnish with green onions. Serve immediately and enjoy!
Note: If you are going to make it ahead of time, only season and dress the salad right before serving. If it sits too long, the liquid will draw out from the vegetables and make your salad soupy. If this happens, drain and re-toss the salad with 2 to 3 tablespoons more dressing.
