When I found this awesome mashed potato chips video recipe tutorial by Sam The Cooking Guy, on YouTube, I found a real gem of an idea. Sam was planning to make some instant mashed potatoes and found that the powdered potato flakes were out of date. So, Sam, The Cooking Guy started thinking, what are instant potatoes anyway? They are just dried potatoes, right? Sam thought, well potato chips are dried, snd I have a whole bag of those, so why not try using those as an instant potato substitute?
Ingredients For The Mashed Potato Chips Recipe:
- 3-ounces of potato chips
- 1 cup of water
- 1/4 cup of Half and Half (any milk product will work, cheese could be really good in here too)

This recipe can also be made with flavored chips, Barbeque is my personal favorite! You will begin by adding the water to the pot, then placing your chips in the pot and cooking over low heat.
Then you will continue to stir the potato chips until they turn into mashed potatoes, then add the 1/4 cup of Half and Half.
