Marigold flowers come in a variety of colors, including yellow, orange, red, and white. For this tutorial, I decided to create them in yellow, orange, violet, and pink since I plan to use them for several occasions. My top two events are fall and the Day of the Dead, also known as Día de los Muertos or Día de Muertos. These flowers are not just decorative for some festivities, but they are also deeply symbolic.

Some other events where you can use these marigold garlands are Diwali, spring, birthdays, or New Year. There are so many ways to decorate them, but my favorite would be hanging them from the ceiling, making a perfect backdrop for different events or parties. These flowers are absolutely beautiful and eye-catching, great for styling your events. Keep on reading or watch the video tutorial below for the step-by-step instructions.
What are Crepe Paper Streamers
If you are not familiar with crepe paper streamers, they are long, thins strips of crepe paper, often used for party and event decorating. They are lightweight, inexpensive, accessible, and come in a wide selection of colors. They are commonly used for garlands, backdrops, or table decorations.

How to Make a Marigold Garland
Learn how to make marigold flowers with streamer crepe paper the easy way.
Cut 60 to 70 inches (152 to 178 centimeters) of streamer paper. Fold it in half four times.

Cut thin slits on both sides, then unfold it.

Sew from end to end.

Push the folded sections together.

Twist each fold to fluff it up.

Tie the ends together to create a donut shape and cut off excess thread.
Make several pieces in different colors.
Take a 2 1/4 x 7/8 inch (5.7 x 2.2 cm) green rectangle of paper and wrap it around a large skewer. Glue the end to secure it.

Glue the green tube on the center of the flower, making sure it is evenly positioned with equal lengths at the top and bottom.
If you don’t want to turn it into a garland, simply cut a few inches or centimeters of streamer paper, cut it the same way as before, and roll it from end to end to form a pom pom. Take a smaller green rectangle of paper and wrap it around the base. Glue it to the center of the flower.
String the flowers onto the jute twine to make a garland.
