Make your stainless steel appliance shine with these tips by RoseRed Homestead — That “Woman with a Gadget”! She will show you four ways to make them clean and look brand new again, free from water and oil stains. Before you start, you have to take note of these three things. First, stainless steel can be dented, so be careful when moving them. Second, it has a grain – closely look if it goes horizontally or diagonally. You always want to polish with the grain. If you polish against it, it can scratch your appliance. Third, never use steel wool.

Instructions

For the refrigerator

Do a light spray on the stainless steel with the vinegar water mixture, then wipe it with the dry microfiber towel along the grain. This will remove the oil fingerprints.

You can do the same with the Dawn dish soap. Just put a tiny dot on a damp microfiber cloth and wipe it clean.

Instead of the vinegar water mixture or dish soap, you can also use the stainless steel wipe and wipe it in the same direction as your grain. If it still has a residue, you can use a dry microfiber cloth.

For the dishwasher

Since it often has drips of water, you can use the stainless steel cleaner and polish. Spray it into your dishwasher and wipe it with a dry microfiber cloth.

For the exhaust, microwave, and oven

For little strips of stainless steel, don’t use the spray directly to the appliance, as it will go over the place. Spray it to the cloth instead or use the wipes.
