I love how this farmhouse cake stand turned out and it only cost $9 to make!! Joanna Gaines, with Fixer Upper on HGTV, sells a cake stand like this one for $38…this is quite a savings!

It looks so much like the Magnolia Market Cake Stand but he decided to use different stain colors and add a dry brush paint look! If you’re trying to find or make a Cake Stand on a budget this is the project for you! It will stand out in any farmhouse kitchen and I love it!!

I love the things that Joanna Gaines sells and Target is now carrying a lot of her items. I live 100 miles from their store in Waco but haven’t had the time to visit yet.

Their show is one of my favorites to watch on HGTV. I hate to see their show end, but I’m sure we’ll see a lot of Magnolia Market’s home decor items.

This cake stand looks awesome sitting on my countertop in my kitchen and I love the way it turned out. It was incredibly easy to do…my favorite type of DIY projects! I want instant gratification and I got that pretty quickly when I did this project. If you love farmhouse style decor and rustic looking home furnishings but can’t afford the high prices they charge in stores, take matters into your own hands (literally) and make your own stuff.

Watch the Youtube video below to see how this guy with Texas Magnolia Home makes this great looking cake stand in his step by step tutorial.
