Take the smaller squares and fold them in half diagonally and press with an iron.
First block. Get one 5″ background square and place two of the folded colored squares on opposite corners. Open them up and sew directly on the line. Once done, cut the excess, open the block, and press it flat. You need four of this block.
Second block. Take a blue square and place two folded background squares on the top corners. Open them and sew on the center. Cut off the excess, open the block, and press it flat. You need four of this second block.
Get a background 5″ square and place it in the middle. Put the four blocks with opposite ends or all first blocks into the corner of the center block. The whites should be pointing toward the center block. Fill the remaining spaces with the second blocks. Sew them into rows first. Once done, sew the rows together to make one solid block. Set the seam and iron the block.
To make the exact quilt, you will need four blocks across and five blocks down.
