Materials:

  • 3 pcs. sink mats
  • raffia
  • Spanish moss
  • 2 pumpkin stands
  • 3 pcs. 8 x 10 canvas
  • fresh linen and sage chalk paint
  • Waverly antique wax
  • hot glue

Directions:

Step 1

Start by brushing the antique wax on all three of the frames, then blend it in with a baby wipe. Once the frames are dry, place one sink mat onto the back of the frame and draw lines to trace it. Cut out the sink mat and use it as your guide for the other two. After you cut out the three sink mats, use the sage chalk paint and paint two coats on each of those. Next, take the pumpkin stands and pop out the pumpkins off them. Give them a quick sanding and paint them with fresh linen chalk paint. After they dried, dry brush some white acrylic paint on them, then take the Waverly antique wax in a baby wipe, brush it on the stem, and sand the entire thing out. Next, trace out the pumpkins on the scrapbook and cut those out. Apply a generous layer of mod podge to each of the pumpkins and stick the scrapbook paper. Take a piece of parchment paper and iron it on the pumpkin to dry the mod podge and smooth out the scrapbook paper.

Step 2

After this, put an outer layer of mod podge on both of the pumpkins. Dry it out using a heating tool or whatever’s available to you. After it was completely dry, sand around the edges to get rid of any excess paper. Next, took a bunch of Raffia and kind of tied it in a knot to make a little bow. Make three of these. After this, glue some Spanish moss to the tops of each of the pumpkins. Now, take each of the frames and flipped them over. Put a row of hot glue on the very top, glue down the sink mat, flipped it up, and put a little bit of hot glue on either side. After all three were done, just put some hot glue on each side of them and glue them together. Took the pumpkins and glue them each to the center of the frames.
