Do you love adding avocados to your breakfast meal? If so, you probably have avocados at home all the time. Who doesn’t like avocado toast, right? Some people like to stock unripe avocados so they won’t get rotten easily. If you are one of those and want to use a few already, but they are still not yet ripe, here is a trick for you. This hack will instantly make avocados ripe in just a few minutes.

I stumbled across DaveHax‘s instantly ripe avocado hack when I was planning to make a tuna avocado salad at home, but learned that the ones I bought are not yet ripe. This trick definitely worked like magic and tasted perfect for my recipe. If you don’t need them right away but will be using them after a few days, you can ripen avocados quickly by placing them in a paper bag. Some people suggest adding fruits, like bananas, apples, and kiwis inside the paper bag and sealing it to allow them to produce ethylene gas, which will help in ripening the avocado.
Get a sheet of foil and wrap it around the avocado.
Put the wrapped avocado in an oven-safe dish.
Place the dish with the avocado in a preheated oven at about 200F for about 10 minutes. The time depends on how hard the avocado is.
After 10 minutes, take the avocado out and place it on a cooling rack still covered with foil.
Once cooled, remove the foil and check for ripeness. If it is still hard, place it back in the oven for a few more minutes until desired ripeness is achieved.
