I’m always needing a gift for someone, or just a little something to brighten someone’s day. I can’t think of anything better to give as a gift…especially when it comes from someone’s heart!

He paints a message on the back of the rocks and it just makes the gift that more meaningful to the person who’s receiving it. I’ve always loved receiving gifts that are hand made by someone because I know the love and energy that went into it.

The other great thing about this DIY project is that not only is it easy, but it’s cheap! When you need a gift as often as I do, this little project certainly comes in handy!

And, who wouldn’t want a brightly colored rock sitting on their desk as a paper weight or nestled on a shelf beside or on top of some books? It provides the perfect pop of color your home needs!

When I made these, I made up several at the same time, so I wouldn’t waste paint and it would save me on brush washing time getting all of my supplies out again.

Painting these river rocks couldn’t be easier and Mark Montano shows you step by step how to do them in his tutorial attached below so you can get started!

Since I lover experiments, I’ve alwaysnloved to create, paint, as well as cook and style food. I feel in love with DIY as soon as I discovered it and could not have been more excited when I learned I could share projects with people around the world. Taking photos is a passion of mine, as is design and painting with oils. I love holidays and celebrations, crafting cute little gifts and serving up at least one new recipe I am excited about.
