I made this canopy by hanging a pair of sheer curtains from IKEA on a cheap hula hoop from the dollar store.
This is a great way to add a delicate—and dreamy—touch to your bedroom with a canopy for your bed! Add sparkles, flowers, a feather boa around the top, fabric, sequins, and almost anything else that you can imagine with a few stitches or dabs of hot glue. Or use them as is and enjoy immediately.
One of my favorite ideas is to get twice the impact from your budget by using them as decor at a princess themed party for your daughter. I’ve always had a thing for tents, tee pees, forts and hideaways. And there is something so magical about a beautiful canopy that drapes over a bed. This version is extremely easy to make using a hula hoop and some sheer curtain panels. I added playful pom pom trim to mine for a special touch.
