This is a creative home decorating idea that shows style and elegance on a budget. It’s a cheap, quick, and easy bedroom wall decor for craft lovers. I love how this tutorial is so inexpensive using cardboard. Yoduvh Essentials tutorial is easy to follow and she is super talented. This a unique tutorial, and I love this style of headboard. When you look at the final product, you would have no idea that it is made out of large empty boxes. I think I would attempt this tutorial just for fun, or if I decide I would like a headboard. My style right now is Scandinavian meets mid-century so it would not fit my place.

Materials:

  • Large Empty Boxes
  • 1” foam
  • Duct Tape
  • Screws
  • Particleboard
  • Staple gun
  • Crystal buttons
  • Grey fabric (3 yards)
  • Extra fabric (1/2 yard)

  • Glue gun and glue sticks

Directions:

First, you want to follow Yoduvh Essentials tutorial on YouTube. Start off with duct taping the large empty boxes together and glue another large empty box on top.

Then, once you follow the steps and get the particleboard and foam together, you’ll want to make the point 8″ apart. Use fabric that does not stretch on top of it. Tufting is one of the finishing steps to this headboard.

Since I lover experiments, I’ve alwaysnloved to create, paint, as well as cook and style food. I feel in love with DIY as soon as I discovered it and could not have been more excited when I learned I could share projects with people around the world. Taking photos is a passion of mine, as is design and painting with oils. I love holidays and celebrations, crafting cute little gifts and serving up at least one new recipe I am excited about.
