Materials:

  • Coffee
  • Eggshells
  • Banana Peels

Directions:

#1: Coffee

Sprinkle the coffee grounds all over the surface of the soil, then mix them in until incorporated, and add nitrogen fertilizer to speed up the process. You can also just add the coffee grounds to the surface and not mix it in but cover it with leaves, compost, or mulch instead.

#2: Eggshells

Eggshells have lots of nutrients and calcium in them and they are very beneficial to your plants’ healthy growth. All you have to do is simply break and crunch them up, then place them on a baking sheet in a single layer, and allow them to dry out. Once dried, put them in a blender, then process them until powder, and use them in your soil or add them to your bird feeder.

#3: Banana Peels

Same to eggshells, banana peels also have lots of nutrients in them, especially potassium. This can immensely help with plant growth and it is very simple to use. Just chop the peels nicely and finely, then add them to your worm bin or throw whole banana peels directly into your compost bin instead and allow them to break down into the soil.
