Materials:

  • Marathon thread
  • Paper pad
  • Sharpie or marker
  • Sewing machine

Directions:

Step 1

Grab a pad paper and a sharpie or marker to test out the pattern and motion that you’re going to do later on the quilt itself. Now, pretend that the fabric is divided into small quarters and work inside those areas. Next, do a letter “C” and go back over that “C”, then repeat this motion, and change the direction from time to time. If you run out of space or you’ve reached the end of the fabric, travel over the last letter “C” you’ve made and go towards an open space, then continue making your “C” pattern.

Step 2

You can make a large or small letter depending on your preference. Now, grab your quilt and apply what you have practiced on the paper pad, keep in mind the motion and direction that you want to make. If you got stuck in a space, just follow the last “C” that you’ve made and go over it, then continue. Once your quilt is completely covered with those patterns, then you can proceed to trim out the edges and finish the seams.
