If you’re looking for an easy sewing project to make with some old socks, then check this tutorial out by Gentleman Doll on YouTube! This adorable sleeping doll only requires some basic sewing tools and a few materials that you may already have around your house. Proceed to read down below for the full instructions and watch the video tutorial as well.
Step 1
Grab 1 piece of a colored and patterned sock, then cut the toe part off, spread it open, and flatten it sideways. Turn it to its wrong side out, about a few inches down from each side of the heel, mark a line downwards to divide each side of the sock in half lengthwise. Curve the ends, then sew over those lines, and cut them out making sure to avoid the stitches. Cut a little hole on the heel area, then turn it right side out, tuck the corners well, and start filling it with polyester. Sew it close, then take the cut-out toe and remove the excess fabric leaving only the toe area. Stitch around the edge and pull it lightly, fill it with polyester then sew shut.

Step 2
Sew the small sock ball onto the lower heel area, then grab a white sock and cut it in half, fill the heel part with polyester, then sew it close. Grab the other colored sock, then cut out and remove the heel area about 3 inches. Using only the lower half, cut it halfway into two lengthwise, then make each side pointed, turn it over the wrong side out then sew along those cuts, turn it right side out, and poke the corners nicely. Wear this hat onto the large sock ball, then sew the head above the arms of the doll, add some ribbons and some socks to the doll. Draw the eyes then stitch over those marks.
