These finger thumb potholders might be one of the very best sewing ideas I have seen in a long time. We all know how oven mitts can be so bulky and they get in the way of performing a simple task like checking under the lid of a pot or removing an egg poacher. The best part of this project is that it is an excellent scrap buster because it doesn’t require a lot of fabric to make these cute finger thumb potholders. These mini potholders are just the right thickness as well, there is just enough Insul Bright and polyfill to shield the heat but not enough to make the potholder so bulky that you lose dexterity. These mini potholders also make a great item to store in the gift closet when you need a quick present in a pinch.
