Wondering why glasses stick together? It happens when you stack them while they are still warm and stack them immediately after being washed or coming out of the dishwasher. To prevent this from happening, make sure to dry them well and let them cool before stacking and storing them. But if you already have this problem, try this simple hack by America’s Test Kitchen. Start by filling a mixing bowl with warm water.
Get some ice cubes. Fill the top glass with ice cubes.
Submerge the stuck glasses in the warm water for a few seconds, then slowly pull the top glass out. If it’s still stuck, let it sit for a few more seconds, then try to separate the glasses again.
The difference in temperature between the cups will cause the bottom cups to expand and the top cups to contract. It will cause the seal to loosen so the two cups can be pulled apart.
