What you wear can be a statement and is very important on certain occasions like special events, interviews, or parties! It is very important that you show up dressed nicely, but sometimes we just tend to forget some small and simple tasks such as ironing clothes, or you just don’t have an iron at the moment for some reason. This is a clever and very handy hack by BuzzFeed Nifty on YouTube which will show you tricks that you can do to straighten your clothes quickly and easily without the need for an iron.

Materials:

  • Hair straightener
  • Hairdryer
  • Frying pan
  • Water
  • Fabric softener

Directions:

Step 1

The first thing you can do and the easiest way is to hang your wrinkled shirt in the bathroom, then let the steam straighten it as you shower. Another thing you can do is to grab your hair straightener, then press the shirt in between, and straighten it as you would with your hair. If you don’t have a hair straightener, you can always use a hair blower, just spray the shirt and dampen it with water, then lay the shirt flat, and blow dry it over high heat.

Step 2

If you want to be a little extra or you just can’t do any of the above, you can always try a more DIY approach. First, lay your shirt flatly on a surface, then cover it with another fabric, and straighten it using the back of a hot pan. You can also create a homemade wrinkle eraser if you don’t have one. Simply mix together about 8 ounces of water and 1 tablespoon of fabric softener in a spray bottle, give it a little swirl, then spray it on the wrinkles of the shirt, and lay flat or hang to dry.
