Turkey is the star of Thanksgiving. The dinner table will not be complete without it. Mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce, pie, mashed potatoes, and stuffing are some classic dishes served alongside it. If you plan to serve Turkey this upcoming holiday, be sure to thaw it a day or a few days before in your refrigerator. The time depends on the weight of your turkey.

If you forgot to thaw it days before, the easiest and quickest way to have turkey on your dinner table is to buy it from the store. But if you prefer to cook it at home, check out this hack by Problem Solved. They will show how to quickly defrost a turkey so you can still serve it on time at the Thanksgiving dinner table.
Keep the turkey in the packaging. Take a large pot and place the turkey breast side down for best results.
Fill the pot with cool water until it’s completely submerged. It’s tempting to use hot water, but make sure you don’t.
If your turkey floats, make sure to weigh it down. You can place a baking pan on top of the turkey and a large can of tomatoes or anything you have on hand to weigh it down. If you don’t have a pot that is big enough for your turkey, you can use your sink or your cooler. Just make sure to disinfect your cooler afterward.
Change the water every 30 minutes to speed up the process. To defrost a frozen turkey, it will take about 30 minutes per pound.
Once it’s defrosted, remove it from the pot and dry it off. Your turkey should be ready to go. Keep it in the refrigerator until ready to roast.
