How to Wash a Fleece Blanket Properly:

Step 1

Before washing your fleece, always check the label on the blanket, and look for specific instructions for taking care of your fleece blanket.  It may require special care or a temperature setting.

Step 2

If your blanket has some grease or food stains, you need to take care of them first before washing it using a gentle detergent, and make sure to avoid using bleach and fabric softeners as they can damage the fleece fibers.

Step 3

To wash the fleece blanket, pour some water into the washing machine, then add about 4 to 5 tablespoons of any detergent, and let it work for a few minutes. Place a single fleece blanket in the machine with no other items to avoid overloading, then run it for 30 minutes, and rinse it with water before letting the blanket dry in the air.
