Sometimes it is frustrating when you’re taking a hot shower and the bathroom mirrors are fogged up when you’re done. Faiths Homemaking on YouTube shows how to prevent your bathroom mirror from fogging up. This isn’t a permanent fix, but it works and you’d have to reapply if your mirrors start to fog up again. It’s a simple and easy hack. It’s annoying when I have to get ready and no matter if I wipe off the fog on the mirror, it is streaky. I would’ve never thought about this idea, but it’s worth a try if you want to get rid of the constant fog in the bathroom. I’m sure there may be other ways to prevent the bathroom mirror from fogging, but this takes only 2 products.

Materials:

  • shaving cream
  • towel or microfiber insert

Directions:

First, spray the shaving cream onto the rag and spread it all over the mirror until it is fully covered. Rub the shaving cream in circular motions.

Next, grab a clean towel to rub out any excess shaving cream, and repeat the process until you get a shiny mirror.

Overall, I would do this and try it out to see if it works, but I think it’s funny that shaving cream works for this bathroom hack. One thing that I do to prevent less fog is cracking the door slightly open so that the cold air is not stuck in the bathroom. However, if you live with a lot of people, you wouldn’t want to keep your bathroom door open if you’re taking a shower. Also, this hack does not require a lot of shaving cream, because it will take a long time to rub it in if you do apply a thick coat.
