These wool flowers are so adorable and make the perfect addition to any crochet or knitting project. Materials Needed For This DIY:

  • Yarn
  • Plastic Straws
  • Yarn Needle
  • Pearl Beads
  • Scissors

Directions:

Step One

Start by cutting three straws. If you have the bendy kind, you will want to cut off that part.

Step Two

Fold your straws in half and then cut the side of the straws leaving a diamond shape on each side of two of the three straws.

Step Four

Attach the two straws with holes in them together. Poke one into the other to create an “X” shape. Make sure that the holes are lined up, then poke the straw without holes in it into the other two. You should have a flower shape now.

Step Five

Begin wrapping yarn around the straws. To get the yarn started, create a loop around on spike in the straws and then repeat that process as you work your way around the straws.

Step Six

Once you’ve wrapped your yarn around enough times to make a flower shape, use your yarn needle to attach the yarn.

Step Seven

If you feel like the flower is secure, you can remove the straws from the flower.
