Breakfast is the most important meal of the day, so start it with a classic favorite but make it special and add sausages! I’ve been making this recipe repeatedly these past few months, I just can’t help it because it’s such a hearty and delicious meal. My family enjoys this a lot too, it’s a perfect combination of creaminess, cheesiness, and meatiness. It’s very quick to prepare too, perfect for kids and kids-at-heart alike.  I found this gem by my favorite YouTuber Smokin’ & Grillin’ wit AB, as always he delivers quality recipes that’ll leave your stomach satisfied.

Ingredients:

  • 2 lb. Italian Sausage
  • 1 (30-32oz) bag Frozen Tater Tots
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • ½ tsp Pepper
  • ¼ tsp Garlic Powder
  • ¼ tsp Onion Powder
  • cups Shredded Cheddar Cheese
  • ½ cup Mozzarella Cheese
  • 8 Eggs
  • 2 cups Milk
  • 1 cup Onion, chopped

Directions:

Step 1

Heat the pan on a high setting, break up the ground sausage and cook halfway before adding the chopped onions. Continue browning the sausage and breaking them into the desired size. If there are fats, drain them before transferring onto a large bowl, pour the tater tots and mix, set aside and let it cool. Once it has cooled down, add shredded cheddar and mozzarella cheese, then mix.

Step 2

In a large mixing bowl, crack the eggs, add the milk, season with salt, pepper, onion powder, and garlic powder, then whisk until well-combined. Pour the tots and sausage mixture onto a sprayed baking dish, then pour the egg mixture on top. Sprinkle it with shredded cheddar and mozzarella, then bake it in a preheated 350°F oven uncovered for about 1 hour.
