Ingredients:

  • 4 strips of bacon
  • 2 smoke sausage links
  • ½ piece of cabbage
  • ½ piece of onion
  • ½ piece of red bell pepper
  • ½ piece of green bell pepper
  • 1 tablespoon of minced garlic
  • 1 teaspoon of Louisiana Cajun seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon of creole seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon of black pepper

Directions:

Step 1

Wash and clean your vegetables, then grab the cabbage, and start cutting it into thick slices. Chop your onions, then slice the red and green bell peppers, and set them all aside. Place a skillet pan on a stove over medium-high heat, then cut the bacon into small slices, and the sausage links into small bite-sized pieces. Add the bacon to the hot skillet pan, then let it cook until it renders fat, and add the sausage. Give them a good stir, then continue cooking until the sausages are brown and the bacon bits are nice and crispy. Remove the bacon and sausage from the pan and leave the grease dipping.

Now, add the garlic, then season them with cajun seasoning, creole seasoning, and black pepper or use any seasonings you want, and mix them all together until well combined. Next, add the sliced cabbage in small batches, then cover the pan, and let the cabbage cook for at least 5 minutes before adding the sausage and bacon back to the pan. Continue cooking the cabbage until tender making sure not to add any water.
