Looking for a fun project to do this week? How about you learn how to make a soda can wind spinner through this tutorial by Doug Demaranville? We have tons of these in our back yard and I love staring at them especially when it’s windy. It’s so cool to see them spinning around in unison! Watch the video below for full instructions.

First, make sure to wear your gloves as you don’t want to hurt yourself. Do not remove the tear strip.
Remove the pull tab, then cut the flange part to remove the lid. Use your scissors to clean out the edges.
Cut it in the middle on 4 sides from the top to the base. Once done, cut each again in half. Be careful when doing this.
Hold the base of the can with the thumb align to the bottom of the strip, and fold it using your other hand. Repeat with the other strips until it looks like a sun.
Make a hole in the center of the bottom of the can.
Fold each of the strips about half an inch. Once done, make another piece.
Connect two strips from each can. They should hold each other onto the folded part. Use pliers to fold the corner. Repeat with other strips.
Get a piece of wire and twist one of the ends. Insert the bead from the other end.
Insert the wire with the bead into the hole in the center of each can. Once inserted, trim off excess wire then bend it over for the hook. It’s done. Now you can hang it.
