Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup of unsalted butter
  • 1/2 cup of milk
  • 1 1/2 cups of white granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup of unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon of salt
  • 1/2 cup of packed brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons of vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup of peanut butter
  • 3 cups of oats (quick or old-fashioned)

Instructions:

Step 1:

In a large pot, add 1/2 cup of butter, 1/2 cup of milk, 1 1/2 cups of granulated sugar, 1 1/2 cup of unsweetened cocoa powder, 1/4 teaspoon of salt, and 1/2 cup of packed brown sugar. Place over medium heat and stir continuously until it becomes to a rolling boil. You want to melt the sugar, cocoa powder, and butter. Remove from heat.

Step 2:

Transfer the mixture to a bowl, and add 2 teaspoons of the vanilla extract and 1/2 cup of peanut butter. Keep stirring until the peanut butter is well incorporated.

Step 3:

Add the oats in batches and mix until well combined.

Step 4:

Prepare a baking sheet by lining it with a silicone mat, parchment paper, or wax paper. Take about a tablespoon and plop the cookies. You can make them in the size that you want. Make sure they are spaced so they don’t stick with each other. Let them sit in a cool place until they set completely. You can also put them in the fridge for about 10 to 15 minutes.
