If you haven’t heard, Red lobster is releasing a DEW Garita which is the first official cocktail with Mountain Dew. The red rim on the margarita cup is supposed to add a citrusy twist to every sip, but it’s just red sugar. How To Drink on YouTube talks about the taste of the drink and how to recreate it. It was cool watching the video because he bought the Mountain Dew margarita from Red Lobster, and tried to reverse engineer the recipe before getting the real one. I think it would be cool to recreate this drink at home if you like Mountain Dew. I am a big fan of margaritas, but I do not drink Mountain Dew. However, I wouldn’t be opposed to making one and trying it out. Mountain Dew recipes are quite popular whether it’s with food, desserts, or beverages. The bright yellow-green color from the Dew Garita looks very refreshing too.

Overall, this DEW Garita sounds super sweet from the soda and sugar rim. I am more of salt on the rim type of girl too. Also, I know that Red Lobster has launched this drink at select restaurants starting at the beginning of September, but will launch nationwide by the end of this year. Plus, I think it’s unique that there’s a margarita that uses Mountain Dew.
