This mochi ice cream looks so delicious, and most people would think these delicious looking bonbons would be super difficult to make, but they are surprisingly simple. When I saw this terrific recipe by Joshua Weissman on Youtube, I knew I had to make this immediately. These lovely mochi morsels can be stored in the freezer and are great for small snacks. Mochi balls also make a very impressive dessert at a dinner party. These mochi bonbon balls look like you bought them in a high-end specialty shop, but they are super quick and easy.

Ingredients:

• 1 cup sweet glutinous rice flour
• 1/4 cup granulated sugar
• 1 cup corn starch (for dusting the ice cream)
• Ice cream (flavors of your choice, any ice cream will work)
• An egg cartin

The instructions in this video tutorial by Joshua Weissman are really easy to follow and Joshua has a really upbeat personality and is very entertaining. You will learn how to make your mini ice cream balls and store them in a plastic-lined egg carton until you are ready to use them for the mochi.

Then, you will be guided step by step on how to make your ice cream wrappers out of rice flour dough. That is really all that is involved in this great recipe. I wasn’t kidding when I said this was easy.
