To make these homemade rolls, you only need milk, crushed pineapple, yeast, brown sugar, salt, butter, egg, and all-purpose flour. The pineapples don’t only add flavor to the rolls but also make the dough easier to work with. You can serve these rolls with bacon, eggs, cheese, and chicken or use them to make french toast, sandwiches, or sliders.
In the bowl of your stand mixer, add 1/3 cup of milk, crushed pineapple, 1 tablespoon of yeast, 1/4 cup of brown sugar, 1 teaspoon of salt, 4 tablespoons of softened butter, egg, and 3 cups of flour.
Mix on low speed until the ingredients come together, then turn the speed to medium. Add more flour if needed to form a dough ball. It should be a bit sticky, but shouldn’t stick to your fingers.
Place in a greased bowl, then cover it with a tea towel. Let it rise for an hour or until it doubles in size.
Once it doubles in size, form the dough into one dozen 2.5-ounce rolls. If you want them to be uniform, use a kitchen scale. Roll into balls on a smooth surface.
Grease a 9 x 13 pan, then place the dough balls. Cover them with a tea towel and let them rise for an hour or until they double in size.
Preheat your oven to 375F. Place the rolls in the preheated oven and bake for 12 to 15 minutes or until lightly browned. Once done baking, brush the top with a tablespoon of melted butter.
