As we are getting closer to The Fourth of July, there are many recipes to partake in to make your spread colorful and festive. I love being in the holiday spirit and go out and beyond when it comes to decorations or food. I love having themes and it’s always fun to create something that is aesthetically pleasing. A lot of my friends love taking photos of food, so these Fourth of July fruit kabobs will steal the show. These are easy to make and will take under 10 minutes. Also, this is a great DIY to do with your children and family. Watermelon is in season and they’re one of the best fruits to eat during the summer. It’s a great way to stay hydrated and snack on. These fruit skewers are going to be added to my list every year because they are kid-friendly. I know I’ll catch myself snacking on these a lot and they will be gone in seconds. The Fouth of July fruit kabobs can be made off-season too. Just choose other fruits and skewer them on the stick for a nice backyard barbeque or picnic outing.
First, cut your watermelon in half and into thick slices. Use a cookie cutter to cut out the stars. Make sure the star slices are thick or they will break when you try to skewer them.
Next, skewer the blueberries onto the wooden skewer and 1 watermelon on top. Repeat the process until finished.
Overall, these are cute to make and a great decoration for The Fourth of July spread. They are nice, and healthy for a hot refreshing summer day. These are easy to grab and go snacks for the kids and family.
