I was browsing the internet one day and found this thrift store birdbath tutorial by Jodi’s Craft Room on Youtube. I wasn’t really looking for a birdbath when I saw this amazing tutorial, but after just one glance I knew I had to make it! Everything about this delicate birdbath is perfect for my needs. If I were a bird, I would want to come and wash my precious wings in this lovely bath.

Materials:

  • A hot glue gun
  • E 6000 (or your favorite glue)
  • 3 thrift shop items (a bowl or deep plate, a cylinder like a utensil holder, and large candle holder for the middle part)
  • 4 or 5 bags of gemstone beads (from Dollar Tree)

Directions:

In this tutorial by Jody’s Craft Room on Youtube, you will learn exactly how to make this upcycled glass birdbath project. You will start by filling the cylinder portion of the project with glass gems from Dollar Tree.

Then, you will decorate the outside of your top bowl with more glass gems by gluing them with E6ooo (or your favorite glue).

This birdbath is absolutely gorgeous, I am so glad I found this tutorial. I am shopping for my thrift shop birdbath making items this weekend, I hope I can stay focused enough to just look for things that relate to the project. Lol, when I get into a thrift shop, I just go crazy and set myself on autopilot, so it is a challenge, but I am really going to try.
