Planning for the perfect holiday menu is a stressful task. Sometimes it comes to the point that making up your mind on what appetizer to serve seems like a big deal. After all, you don’t want to disappoint your family and friends who are coming over. It’s a good thing Paula Deen on Youtube came up with an appetizer recipe that’s easy to make. Her stuffed mushroom recipe is perfect for an appetizer as it’s light on the stomach and doesn’t have many fattening ingredients. And, it’s something that you can swiftly make by only using an air fryer.

Ingredients:

  • 24 fresh button mushrooms with their stems removed
  • 10-ounce package of frozen chopped spinach
  • 1 teaspoon seasoning for the house
  • 1/4 cup of green onions
  • 12 cup feta cheese, crumbled
  • 2 ounces of cream cheese that is at room temperature.
  • Oil
  • 1 cup parmesan cheese, grated

Directions:

Thaw and squeeze all the water out of the packaged frozen spinach. Then, using a damp paper towel, wipe the mushrooms clean. You don’t want to get them wet since they already contain a lot of water.

Mince your green onions. Then, place it in a bowl along with your softened cream cheese, house seasoning, grated parmesan cheese, spinach, and feta cheese. Thoroughly mix these ingredients.

Stuff the insides of your button mushrooms with the spinach mixture. Remember to not skimp out on the portions.

Spray your air fryer basket with non-stick oil. Then, line up your filled mushrooms in the basket. Set the air fryer temperature to 375 degrees and wait for about 6 minutes for it to finish. After that, sprinkle with parmesan cheese for a nice finishing touch.
