Materials:

  • Orange Halloween lights
  • About 3 cans of Great Stuff spray foam
  • Matte black spray paint
  • Matte red spray paint
  • White spray paint
  • Plastic bones, optional
  • Sticks
  • Paintbrush
  • Foam brush
  • Mod podge
  • Sand
  • Artificial moss
  • Large plastic cauldron

Directions:

Step 1

Place the plastic bones on a piece of cardboard paper, then lightly spray paint them black, and let them dry completely. If the cauldron you bought is not black, then spray paint it black, and let dry completely. Next, mix together some mod podge and sand, then apply it all over the whole cauldron to add some texture, and let it dry before you proceed to the next steps. Now, mix together some mod podge and artificial moss, then apply it around the rim of the cauldron, and spray paint them lightly with black once dry. Once the paint has dried, lightly spray them with white for a charred look.

Step 2

Lay a piece of cardboard, then cover the whole cauldron with a plastic bag before placing it at the center of the cardboard, and lay the orange lights around the cauldron. Place the bones along with some sticks and logs all around the foam and assemble them however you want, then remove the cauldron carefully, and let them dry completely before spray painting them black with some red. Prepare the area where you’ll place the decor, then place some large pebbles to make the base, and carefully place the cardboard with the solid foam with sticks and bones on top of the pebbles. Make sure that your prop is stable and sturdy on top of the pebbles, then place the cauldron at the center of the foam, and light it up.
