When I found this awesome sock kitty project by Natali Doma DIY, on YouTube, I had to make this fun idea with my kids immediately. I keep boxes of projects that I can pull out and put in the middle of the table and seat them quietly all around to focus their attention on their own creative spirit. This sock kitty is such a cute, fun project, everyone from old to young loves it. Bright Children’s Socks will work best for this project, but any socks will work. In addition to that, you will need scissors, a fabric marker, some dacron or cotton stuffing, a needle and thread, and some buttons. Then you just take your sock and turn it inside out and sew the top shut, then stuff and sew the tail pocket and attach it. The face of the beautiful kitty is made with black embroidery floss and buttons, which makes the finishing touches to this project super easy.

Materials For The Sock Kitty Project:

  • A sock (bright Children’s Socks will work best for this project, but using a bigger sock will make a larger kitty)
  • A pair of scissors
  • Embroidery floss
  • Tread
  • A needle
  • Buttons for the face
  • A pencil (or fabric marker)
  • Stuffing (dacron or cotton will work well)

Since I lover experiments, I’ve alwaysnloved to create, paint, as well as cook and style food. I feel in love with DIY as soon as I discovered it and could not have been more excited when I learned I could share projects with people around the world. Taking photos is a passion of mine, as is design and painting with oils. I love holidays and celebrations, crafting cute little gifts and serving up at least one new recipe I am excited about.
