My husband and I moved to the Texas Hill Country recently, and we are transitioning away from our big city decor. We have a lot of antiques, that will be great on our new mini ranchette, but we both really want some more rustic items for our new country home. I was browsing the internet yesterday looking for some fun DIY project hubs and I could make to decorate our home and I found a few things that could totally work for us. The very best project I found, was this rope mirror video tutorial by Martha Stewart on YouTube, and I knew it was going to be so much fun, and also look fantastic.
Materials For Rope Mirror:
- Rope
- A round mirror
- A piece of cardboard
- Elmer’s glue
- A hot glue gun
- Glue sticks
- Sturdy Scissors
Directions:
In this rope mirror video tutorial by Martha Stewart on YouTube, you will learn how to make this cute project in a few easy steps. You begin by cutting your cardboard into a round shape to match your mirror. You will mount the mirror with glue and then surround the mirror with rope.
Then, you will make a sash to hang your DIY rustic mirror out of a long piece of knotted rope. Then, attach the knot to the mirror with wire and glue.
This mirror is so cute and my husband and I had so much fun making it.
