Rope baskets are so trendy yet expensive. Family Home Project made this DIY look so easy and I’ve been wanting to my make my own. This inspired me because it doesn’t require many supplies and it’s way cheaper to make it at home. I know these baskets can be pricey at the store, so why not save some bucks and make your own. I love the bohemian and natural style of jute rope things for furniture or decor because it fits all of my furniture and home aesthetics. This rope basket can be used for anywhere around the house, whether it’s for toliet rolls in the bathroom or baby wipes in the nursery room.

Supplies:

  • scissors
  • jute rope
  • glue sticks
  • hot glue gun
  • mat

Directions:

First, cut off the end of the jute rope and start wrapping in a circle while using the hot glue gun to glue the edges. Continue to do this until you get to a desired size. Then, start sticking the rope on top of each other stacking it up to create the basket shape.

Overall, this is such a quick and easy DIY project to keep things around the house organized. I have two woven basket that I use for blankets and my big green plant. However, I want a jute rope basket because it’s more sturdy and will last longer. There are so many ways to use these type of basket and I think it would be a great gift item for someone that is having a baby shower or house warming.
