Materials for Rainbow Circle Quilt Block:
- Assorted print fabrics
- Background fabric
- Marking pen, pencil, or chalk
- Ruler
- Scissors or rotary cutter and a cutting mat
- Fabric pins
- Needle and thread
- Iron, for pressing
- Sewing machine
How to Make a Rainbow Circle Quilt Block:
Step 1
Cut the fabric to size, then get two squares for the points, and cut them in half diagonally from corner to corner. Fold the center square in half and press the midpoint, then do the same for the triangles, and lay the triangles on each side of the square with their right sides facing and midpoints lined up. Stitch them in place with ¼ inch seam allowance, then press them open.
Step 2
Make sure to smooth out the crease and repeat the same steps to the empty side of the square. Make more of this quilt block unit in different variations, then arrange all of the pieces together as shown in the video, and start stitching the centerpieces first. Next, stitch them per row, then stitch the rows to each other, and press as you go.
