This papercraft jewelry box video tutorial by Dream_Fairy_DIY on YouTube is just the cutest thing I have ever seen! Although the black and gold craft paint looks very unique and cool, I’m thinking of skipping the craft paint at the end and just going with the original napkin colors. Those types of color and style decisions are exactly why I love DIY so much. Remember, whatever type of DIY project you are making, you can change up the design any way you want to. You are the ringmaster of your own DIY circus! I love the fact that the whole project is made using a simple balloon as the underlying form because you just pop it at the end!

Materials:

  • A stack of paper napkins
  • A round balloon (you are going to blow it up)
  • Decoupage glue (or Elmer’s white glue)
  • A brown paper bag (torn into 1-inch pieces)
  • a pair of scissors
  • Black craft paint
  • Gold craft paint
  • Green craft paint

Directions:

In this papercraft jewelry box video tutorial by Dream_Fairy_DIY on YouTube, you will be guided step by step in the making of this fabulous decoupage paper project. You will begin by blowing up the balloon, then gluing down all the ripped paper pieces to make a hard shell that is the foundation of the jewelry box.

Then, you will soak your napkins in glue and make spindles that are glued in neatly fitting rows around the basic form.
