  • fabric scraps
  • drawstring

Instructions:

Step 1:

Get the jeans and cut one of the leg parts. Then open it out with the wrong side facing up. Fold in half and cut the excess cloth, making a rectangular size measuring 28.3 x 16.1 inches. Then cut fabric scrap cloth for inner lining the same size as the jeans. Flatten the cloth using an iron.

Step 2:

Place the inner lining on the back of the rectangular jeans and fold them in half. Sew the sides and create a box bottom.

Step 3:

Get the other leg part of the jeans and cut 2 pieces of 13.4 x 6.3 inches and 2 pieces of 6.3 x 1.2 inches. Using these pieces, create a small pocket with string on top that will be attached to the outer part of the bag.

Step 5:

Cut 1 piece of 28.3 x 16.1 inches and 2 pieces 16.1 x 9.44 inches from the fabric scraps. Get the 28.2 x 16.1 inches and make a box lining. Then for the 2 pieces of 16.1 x 9.44 inches, get one and place the other on top with the right sides facing each other. With the fabric laid in front horizontally, sew half of each side. Then with the opening bottom, fold an inch and sew. This is where you’ll insert the drawstring.

Step 6:

With the wrong side out, attach the top part of the 16.1 x 9.44 inches to the top of the bag. Then insert the lining from the bottom to the top. Next, sew the top edge and leave an opening. Once done, pull the right side out, fix the bag, and sew the top edges again.  Then get your drawstrings and put them inside the bag.
