Herbs and spices are something every cook loves to have on hand and they also make a very attractive homey decor idea when you display them in sight. They can look messy and unorganized if they are lined up on the counter, so it is always a good idea to house them in a spice rack. I was browsing the internet the other day and I found this cute DIY 3 tiered spice rack by Kelly Barlow Creations, on YouTube, and I was blown away at how easy and attractive this little rack was. The best part about this 3 tiered spice rack was that it uses very budget-friendly Dollar Tree items. I have been a devout Michael’s fan for years, but Dollar Tree is really knocking it out of the park on the DIY front these days, and everything is so cheap!

Materials For The 3 Tiered Spice Rack:

  • Three-tiered step shelf (from Dollar Tree)
  • Plastic Drawer organizers (from Dollar Tree)
  • Jute twine (from Dollar Tree)
  • Grey primer spray paint (it bonds to plastic)
  • Waverly chalk paint (in black and white)
  • Rustoleum clear spray enamel
  • A hot glue gun
  • Glue sticks
  • A pair of scissors

Since I lover experiments, I’ve alwaysnloved to create, paint, as well as cook and style food. I feel in love with DIY as soon as I discovered it and could not have been more excited when I learned I could share projects with people around the world. Taking photos is a passion of mine, as is design and painting with oils. I love holidays and celebrations, crafting cute little gifts and serving up at least one new recipe I am excited about.
