I just love Sixties retro room decor, so when I found this awesome kitty pillow idea by Ider Alvez, on YouTube, I knew I had to make one of these beautiful stuffed animals for my bedroom. This lovely kitty project looks so cute in polka dots. I usually completely change fabric options from what is described in the video tutorial, but in this case, I really wanted to make the kitty in these lovely polka dots, just like the one in the video.
Materials For The DIY Kitty Pillow:
- 1.5 to 1 yard of fabric
- Thread
- A sewing machine
- A piece of paper (to draw your pattern)
- A pair of scissors
- A tracing fabric pen
- Stuffing (for the pillow cat)

You will begin by drawing your basic kitty pattern and cutting it out. Then you will use the paper kitty for a pattern and trace it onto the back of your folded fabric, then cut your cat out of the fabric.
Then, you will sew the kitty with the right sides together, leaving a space to turn out and stuff.
