Directions:

Step 1

First off, download and print out the free template, then trace each piece on the heat n bond paper, and fuse each piece to the patterned fabric of choice. Make sure to use plain black and gray for the other parts of the truck, especially the wheel. Cut all of the pieces off, then peel the backing paper, and assemble the pieces on the background square. Once they’re all lined up nicely, give them a press for a few seconds, then blanket stitch all around the applique including the details.

Step 2

Repeat the whole process to create more blocks as you need a total of 20 blocks. Once you’re done making all of the blocks, cut the strips of fabric for the inner border, then start sewing the blocks together in a row including the border, and then sew the rows together. Finish your quilt by adding the outer border and the backing, then sew some patterns all over the whole patchwork once done. Watch the video tutorial for more details.
