When I found this awesome DIY balloon vase video tutorial by AY TV, on YouTube, I really wanted to make this easy project. This vase is perfect for almost any area in your home, I want to put the new vase I am making on our covered deck because it will fit in with the rustic outdoor decor. The coolest part of this project is the fact that it is made with broken pieces of walnut shells, which makes the vase look so primitive and amazing.
Materials For The Balloon Vase Project:
- Elmers’s glue and water
- A balloon
- Small squares of paper
- An Exacto knife
- Acrylic craft paint (in white and brown)
- Walnut shells

You begin by blowing up your balloon and soaking each paper square in the glue mixture, then sticking those to the balloon. Then you will let the paper mache dry completely, then pop the balloon and cut a hole in the top.
Then, you will paint your vase and glue walnut shells to the vase.
