Doing chores isn’t as easy as everyone thinks, and sometimes it takes more effort and technique to achieve a desirable result. When you do your laundry, it doesn’t just end with you loading the machine and waiting for it to do its work, you have to use the right method to ensure that your clothing or bedding comes out clean and smelling fresh. There are times when your laundry could smell bad and look dirty even after washing because of the detergent and fabric softener build-up, and you have to strip them down first before washing them regularly.

If you want your towels to feel fluffy and look so clean, then the best option is to line-dry them under the sun, and you also need to swap some of your store-bought products with other common household items that you didn’t know would work effectively in laundry washing. This video tutorial by Homemaking with Denise on YouTube will show and teach you everything you need to learn about line drying and how to keep your towels soft and fluffy even after drying out in the sun for hours.
First, replace all of your fabric softeners in the bin of your machine with half a cup of white vinegar, then always add half a cup of baking soda to the wash water, but you can also opt out of adding this. However, baking soda helps brighten and soften your towel, also make sure to use less washing detergent, and when you’re washing towels, don’t add any other clothing, so they can just wash by themselves. Use one tablespoon of washing soda directly to the water, then set a timer for 3 minutes, and add half a cup of baking soda. Once done washing, make sure to give the towel a strong shake or snap to loosen up the fibers and give them a fluff, then hang your towels, and let them dry in the sun.
