I like to use my Shark steamer on my floors, but every couple of weeks I like to do a deep clean with a traditional mop. I have been searching online for a good method to do a traditional mopping without the bucket of dirty water old-school idea. I found this awesome mopping video tutorial by Jamie’s Journey, on YouTube, and I fell in love with this mopping idea. Jaimie starts with this awesome recipe for cleaning almost any floor surface, she uses it on laminate, tile, and even wood. Make sure and check with a wood professional about mopping safety for the type of wood you have.
Materials For Jaimie’s Mopping Technique:
- 1/2 cup of vinegar
- 1 teaspoon of Dawn
- 2 cups of water
- A spray bottle
- A mop

Then you will rinse and wring the mop every so often to keep the mop damp.
