Most everyone loves avocados whether it’s eating guacamole dip with chips or having a healthy avocado on toast for breakfast. However, we’ve all felt the pressure of trying to eat the whole bowl of Guacamole for fear it will turn brown if it’s turned into a leftover. Why do avocados brown in the first place? After you cut your avocado and the inside oxidizes your avocado will turn brown. How can we stop this tragic event from taking place? There are some really interesting tips in this video you may not have thought of to effectively keep your avocado from turning brown.
Tip 1:
Squeeze Lemon Juice o your avocado the citric acid is a natural preservative and will keep your avocado from browning.
Tip 2:
Float Your Avocado cut side down in water.
Tip 3:
Keep your avocado up to 24 hours face down on a plate.
Tip 4:
Put cling wrap right down on the avocado, this method works especially well with Guacamole.

This lemon and cling film method saved my husband and I at our last Bar BQ, we had made the Guacamole Dip way too far in advance and I was so afraid my beautiful hard work was all going to be brown and horrible but in walks this great youtube video that taught me it really doesn’t have to be this way and when I just used the lemon juice and cling film together it really worked as a double whammy!
