With this video tutorial by FreshCap Mushrooms on YouTube, you can learn how to grow mushrooms at home and have unlimited supplies of them! It’s super easy to prepare and you won’t even need a lot of materials to do this, just find a clean and safe bucket that you want to use, and start colonizing mushrooms on your own.
Step 1
The first thing that you have to do is to find a clean bucket (make sure that you use a bucket that is safe for food), then drill holes a few inches apart from each other all around the bucket, and set it aside. Place the wood chips in a container, then pour hot water on them, and place something heavy on top so they stay submerged. Let the wood chips soak for more than 8 hours or up to overnight until they have completely cooled off.

Step 2
Once the wood chips are cool to the touch, drain off all the excess water, then put a layer of wood chips about 1½-inch thick all over the bottom of the bucket, and top it with grain spawn. Repeat layering the wood chips and grain spawn, then put the lid on the bucket, and store it out of the sun and in a dark cool location to colonize. Make sure that they can properly breathe and that they have enough moisture, then you should see them start to fruit within a couple of days, and then they’ll be ready for harvest.
