Materials:

  • seam ripper
  • iron, for pressing
  • ruler
  • fabric marker
  • pins
  • sewing machine

Directions:

Step 1

To start, rip the seams on the cuffs of your shirt to remove them. Next, flip the cuffs inside out and rip the sewn part to open them up. Press nicely afterwards, then fold them back. Now, measure the top folded edge, then draw a straight line. Repeat to the other cuff. Once done, put pins along the line, then sew afterwards. After sewing, cut open the folded part, then press. Trim both short sides afterward.

Step 2

Now, fold both cuffs vertically seam side out, draw a line on the bottom open part of the cuffs, then sew along the line. Once done, flip them back and set them aside. Now, flip the shirt inside out, draw a line along the long seam of the sleeve, then put pins along the line. Repeat it to the other sleeve, then sew directly on those lines. Trim the excess fabric, then do an accordion stitch. Finally, sew the cuffs back into the ends of the sleeves and you’re done.
