If your door keeps making squeaky and annoying noises every time you open or close it, then it only means one thing, and it’s that the hinges of your door need some help or fixing. But, let’s say you don’t have one available at the moment and can’t go to the store to purchase a WD-40, then an alternative method that you can try is to use baby oil. It can do the job just the same at a cheaper price, especially if you already have it available at your home. Watch the video tutorial Andrea Jean Cleaning on YouTube and see for yourself.

Squeeze a generous amount of baby oil onto your microfiber cloth, then wipe it over the hinges applying as much as you can, and repeat as needed until you’ve covered the entire hinge. You might want to let it stir for a few minutes to let it work and seep into the crevices of the hinges, then give it a try, and see if it’s still noisy. Another trick that you can try using the same microfiber cloth and baby oil is to remove the grease that has gotten onto the door and clean it off completely with a wipe.
